I'm wondering if there are any people who used to work in aviation industry in their home countries. Have you considered continuing your careers here?

Some of those (like ATC) require US citizenship not only for work but also for colleges. I've decided to research a little bit about further studying that I may/may not need and ran into a wall. Nobody at the University of Phoenix could answer any of my questions (I went to their flight operations department and consultants). It's like they never had any foreigners wishing to go back to their professions.

I then started digging through the FAA web site in order to find just anybody's email and ask my questions. No results. *Sigh* :bonk:

I'd be glad to discuss FAA employment (or ANY airport operations employment) with someone. Thanks.

Did you ask the University of Phoenix, or the University of Arizona at Phoenix?

If the former, that is a non-accredited fake university and I wouldn't ask them 2+2. Good luck.

Sorry for confusion. It was this one. Seems that FAA accepts their certificates/diplomas, so I was really surprised to see that nobody could answer my questions. I was waiting for so long to get there (they scheduled my visit two weeks from my phone call), the trip was quite long. And then nothing. I was sooo upset that day, I should say.

Got home, called the university in my home country, requested all necessary paperwork and then sent it all to ECE to evaluate my diploma just to get a better idea of what to expect. It should be Master's in ATC Management, so I guess I'll see after I get the results.

Have you considered working for specific atrlines in other capacity? I work for Continental ( soon to be United) and they love bilingual employees

Ideally I would like to go back to air traffic control but started thinking of doing something less stressful. Dispatching?

Boeing is on a hiring cycle right now; but many of their vacancies require security clearance and US Citizenship. Some don't, though.

By the way, received my evaluated diploma from ECE the other day. "The US equivalence of Master's in Aviation engineering with specialization in Air Traffic Control". Just have to figure out what to do with it now :innocent:

Wow are you misinformed. University of Phoenix is a real school and accredited. I know numerous people who have gone to that school. Look it up.
