1. You are right. Instead of hiring more of those no good customer service guys/ladies who cannot even answer our queries properly USCIS should hire more adjudicators.

Btw, if by any chance and miracle you are given a surprise tour of any of USCIS service centers, how many people you think you may find playing solitaire or browsing Facebook and not doing their work for which they are paid.

i called the customer service center today, all they do is dodge my question and tell me that my case is still pending.

i wasn't asking about my case status which is already given on the uscis website. I asked again and the rep still gave me my case status.

seriously, i want to know their salary and education level now. i don't feel my tax dollars and payment fees are spent wisely.

I just dont understand why people are so worried about their NOA2 or processing time.. I see it like this.. it will come when it comes, as far as customer service, of course thats what their going to tell you because you havent met the 5 mon. line. so your still going to be in the pending period. people need to learn to be patient. its gonna be 4 mon on the 16 april, i havent called them, maybe in the beg. of this process, but ive learned its NOT gonna come in 2 mon time or 3 mon. time. it TAKES time to come. so why stress about it... BE PATIENT

I was simply talking about this comment. And for anybody else who is complaining about not getting a NOA2 when its only been 1-3 mon...

While I agree that the process is unbearably slow, I do understand that no government agency can ever get the manpower to process upwards of 100,000 petitions every month, while still taking into account the seriousness of immigration law and national security.

im sure the equivalent of manpower or better is the IRS. they are good in processing tax returns with the addition of catching people who are paying them short.

@butterflipoison family time is valuable given that we may not know what is going to happen to us tomorrow. why should my family suffer because of other incompetent people.

put them in some jamaican bank lines or tax office lines and they will learn patience

Some people have a lot of patience, some don't. Me, myself... I'm not a patient person at all... I've definitely learned to be MORE patient but I totally agree with unlockingsky. I am suffering, my fiance is suffering and my kids are suffering. We've spent more money on travelling than on anything else. But most importantly I will miss valuable time with my family.

You give them what they want and you can have what you want. No need to wait for 6-7 months for them just to adjudicate your petition. All the long wait and AP is for common people like us, not for the rich ones who can buy their way out.

There is a reason why they have those. It's not meant as a way to "pay yourself to a green card" although that's what it is in practicality.

The reason that there is restriction on employment-based immigration in most countries is because there is still unemployment in the world. Also in the US. While millions of US citizens and permanent residents struggle to find jobs, it would make no sense to say "welcome all! work as you please!"

The reason there are investor visas is because instead of taking jobs, they create jobs. It makes perfect sense. They still go through background checks but for employment based petitions it's possible to pay for premium processing. Why this is not possible for family based petitions is most likely a numbers game, and is the precise reason I'd rather pay double processing fee for a bigger staff at the service centers.

Far more people get their green cards through family than through employment. For immediate relatives, it's a huge number, with immediately available visa numbers for all.

I don't know how AP works for investors from mandatory AP countries, if there even is AP for them.

Agreed. Lol, they're good at doing work fast when it comes to taxes.

But in all fairness. The IRS is an agency which every American citizen and permanent resident has to rely on to it's job effectively. The vast majority of American citizens will never ever even correspond with the USCIS.

In simple terms, if most Americans will never need to petition anyone to come to the US, is it fair that they pay a bigger share in assuring the USCIS works fast?

Absolutely! All RFEs would be sent out the day before NOA1, NOA2 would be a matter of weeks, and no one would be able to fill out the forms on their own because they'd be too complicated for the common man to even know which side is up and which is down.

And there would of course be jail time and massive fines if you forgot to find a foreigner to file for one year.

Meanwhile, congress would have to wait 6 months for funding every time a new law was passed. Possibly 10 more months of AP or an intent to revoke funding if the CO didn't believe their law was legitimate.
