1) do we have to write 3 separate invitation letters to them or write only one invitation for all of them?.

2) r we supposed to write an invitation to them and also one invitation to the embassy?

3) i know we have to send them our wedding invitation inviting them for the wedding. is there any other thn to add?

Although each consulate is a little different, the basic rule is that the visa petitioner must qualify on their own merits. Invitation letters are not required, do little or nothing to help the process. In many cases the CO will not even read them. Remember the basic rule is that they consider every person applying for a tourist visa as an intending immigrant and they have to prove to the interviewer otherwise.

My stepdaughter has been turned down twice. The second time she had a letter of recommendation from my US Senator, my guarantee that I would provide round trip airfare, letter from her employer stating that she was full time and had vacation time available to visit, and full time college enrollment and paid tuition slips. The CO refused to look at them and told her that she would never get a tourist visa because her mom was living in the states.

It would be three separate wedding invitations for each of them to take to their own interview. Since that would make it clear that you are inviting them to your wedding and they want to get visas for this purpose, the invitation letter wouldn't be necessary IMO.

This is very true and if they wouldn't qualify ordinarily for a B2 then the fact that they have a wedding to attend won't make the process any easier. Nothing beats trying though. Some people finally get it after several attempts.

as others have said, the letter and supporting documents does very very little to help a person get a tourist visa. they ask you a few questions and from that they can tell you if you are qualify or not. when i went for my tourist visa to visit my then girl friend at the US embassy Accra, i had tons and tons of documents ranging from letter of invitation, employment verification, banks statements, old I-20 etc but the guy didn't even look at a single document!!! he just asked a bunch of questions and then approved my visa!! i got a 5years multiply entry visa. i know its different for everyone else, but what i have learnt from my own experience and seeing other people get questioned is that be very confidence, be straight to the point and if you dont understand him\her ask her to repeat the question. documents do very little. i think if your mom is over 60years, she will have a good chance. good luck and give it a try.

Very rarely is that the case.

also B-2s are not sponsored. They have to show their ties to Ghana. Chris's family does not sponsor them for their visa, so it doesnt matter who invites them. They have to show their financial ability, ties to Ghana (family, money, church, etc).

My brother and sister in law broght all the documents they could but the embassy would not look at them, basically denied them without any reason.

Each case is different but they will need a lot of supporting docs to show they will come back.

Boiler- trust me, in Ghana it is... (or most of West Africa). Its very hard to get B2s.

I am sure it is, I never said it was not.

But it is not 'luck'.

Wedding invitation

Wedding invitation didn't work for us. That was my step daughters first refusal. We provided letters from our church, the wedding itinerary, and my guarantee of round trip air fare. More letters from her company granting her vacation time for the wedding,(she was to be the maid of honor) copies of the title to her condo, and bank accounts. Plus she had her passport showing that she had been to other countries and never had a problem.

I just answered her question, because she asked how to write an invitation and I said just a normal wedding invitation...

Wedding invite didn't work for us. Just warning you Accra is not easy for B-2s. So be prepared. Also takes 4-5 months for appointment so you should get papers and payment done so you can book a date soon.

A wedding invitation won't make someone qualify for a B2. It just goes to purpose of travel. Each applicant has to show very strong ties in a high fraud country and most of time I believe the decision is made even before the applicant stands at the window to be interviewed. The application is what is important.
