Another UNCLEAR issue on the NOA2

On my NOA2, there are FOUR PARAGRAPHS in the large box in the middle of the page.

Most all of it is clear and easy to understand and agree with.

HOWEVER.... the first sentence reads as such:

"The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the listed consulate with any questions about visa issuanced or ... "

Problem/question/concern is: THERE IS NO CONSULATE LISTED ANYWHERE ON THIS PAGE (the NOA2).

Any help?

not to be concerned, as many NOA-2 formletters have been coming out, sans this info.

Is really strange, I think a programmer / programming error

but

Pay attention at NVC, get the Embassy Casefile number via telephone.

Mine said that same thing, that it had been sent to the Consulate. However, it actually makes it way to the NVC first who then they mail it to the Consulate. Once the Consulate/Embassy receives it then they will notify you with the Packet 3.5 via e-mail. You can, if you are worried about it, call the NVC in about a week or two and see if they received it and or sent it on to the Consulate/Embassy. They can also give you the CASE # which is very beneficial when you then call to inquire the Consulate/Embassy about your case. Once the NVC assigns the CASE # that is what you should use from there on out when referencing your case.

These two items on my signature:

NVC Received from USCIS 11/21/11

NVC Sent to Embassy 11/25/11

Were obtained by calling the NVC.

Good Luck! Even though things seem to move a little bit quicker, I find that I still need a lot of patience!

As far as my perspective, I think they've made things a little stickier, with the technology now, than it was about 5 years ago.

Once I sent the initial app in, ... I had absolutely no other involvement (that I remember) until she called me to go to the interview about 7 months later.

I wonder, ... if the consulate in Bogota will E-MAIL HER about PACKET 3 (and 4, and interview) ?

Or, ... are they going to email/text me? and post it on the www.uscis.gov website (since I have the account) ?

I can tell you my personal experience.

They emailed ME the packet 3.5 but after HE submitted his forms, now all the communication is going to HIM and not to me.

Gringo, My form letter the exact same thing and one of the operators I spoke to when I called the NVC told me, "Actually your package isn't coming here, it's going straight to the consulate and bypassing here. Call the embassy in Bogota." I called the embassy, and they said they couldn't find it and that everything had to go through the NVC. I called back the NVC and they said they still haven't received it.

I'm thinking I might just start calling random embassies around the globe and see if any of them can find my package. The chaos continues...

Maybe they sent it to Cambodia, instead of Colombia. Same amount of syllables. Same ring, both C's.

Or, maybe they sent it with Christopher Colombus, on the slow boat.

I'll start calling tomorrow.
