Hi VJers!!

January of 2011, I met my husband online fell for each other. After talking for 6months my husband decided to come here & we both decided to get married. After 21 days of visit he got home. and now we are on the process of filing a visa. I'm a bit worried, cause the length of our relationship is not long enough. Will t be questioned by the consular?

We met in person while I was traveling, and spent five days together before engagement.

Then we had to wait all that time for immigration and marriage so we could have that first kiss.

Your situation is very common for the Philippines. As long as you have good evidence of relationship you should have no problem. If your fiancee can attend your interview it would almost guarantee approval.

Good luck.

Thats right! Its because those filipinas treat you right and know how to give that good loving!!!!

It will be surely ask by the CO.

What makes you say this? So many people say things like this, and it gets spread around like law. EACH CASE is different. My asawa was so worried because of what other members told her happened to them... and when she went for her interview, as well as POE, it was a very simple event for her. Mostly the COs are happy to oblige you, glad you have fallen love. Why make it harder than it has to be? All you need to do is meet the REQUIREMENTS as stated by the USCIS and USEM. That is all.

It's kind of like the rumors that run rampant about ORIGINAL signature on so many documents. What is the requirement? Only I-134 requires an original signature. And that is the only one the CO checked for originality, all others were scanned/printed, and it was fine. If you meet the requirements, you will be fine. And a meeting once in 2 years, with proof of an ongoing relationship is what is required. You will be fine!

Congrats

That is EXACTLY what we did and we experienced no problems through the process. I was able to get (1) more visit halfway through the wait (4 months after we got married) but that was it until the petition and visa was processed.

Enjoy your journey - and don't let the waiting apart get you stressed.
