Alright, some other questions popping in my head, tried to find out on my own but my mind is like pudding right now... so if some charitable soul feel like helping me out on those ones, it would be appreciated.

We have all the forms ready to be send real soon, except for I-693... its a location problem as there is no designated civil surgeon in our area... and must travel over 2 hours min to see one... and go back 2-3 days later or whatever... so dunno when i will be able to do that, but was wondering...

- what if I send every other forms right away... Do I have to wait to receive a RFE about the I-693 to send it in or i can send it in as soon as I got it completed...???

- also, been told by some that it is not always worth it to send the AOS & EAD because of the lenght of time before an interview is short at some processing center... been told to check out the timeline stuff but not sure if i figured it out... im from maryland... from my understanding, i would send my package to chicago... then, how do I know if i should or shouldnt send a EAD with it or not?

im sorry if i sound ignorant to some of you... just all those rules and guidelines and info is giving me headaches...

thank you

Well, I been contemplating whether or not to file for an EAD with the I-485 too. But I have read over and over that just because your AOS interview wait period is short, there is NO guarantee that your GC will soon be in your hands after the interview. FBI name checks seems to be the big culprit. So, it comes down to how bad does your wife want to work. We're in CSC jurisdiction and will file the EAD.

thanks for the inputs.

actually the question is more how bad my wife wants ME to work lol since i am the one who is an "alien " lol...

and considering our finances, i would rather work sooner than later lol...

also, do any of you have an idea about the medical examination... i mean if i send everything in but that because of problems getting it done soon, can i send it in right away when i get it done, or i need to wait for a RFE from them to send it in?

Oh, OK.

Back to your other question. Not knowing about your situation, you do know that if you have had you K-1 visa medical back in Canada within the last 12 months, you do not need a complete exam again. All you need is form I-693A (vaccination supplement). Which could shorten the time for you rather than a complete exam.

LOL would definitly make her happy !!! LOL and me too actually... although I can find plenty of things to keep myself busy all day long, I wish I had a steady schedule and an income to support my family ! Right now, the financial weight is all on HER shoulder because I can't work and I don't like that. It's a lot of pressure... and plus, I want a job lol...

As for my status, I didn't entered with a K-1 visa. I am from Canada and entered as a visitor. So I need to go through the whole medical examination. I called one dr that can do it. She is located in a city on the way to go visit my wife parents... so that would be perfect supposing we could get an appointment the friday. Then on the way back the following monday we could see her for the follow up on skin test and whatsoever.

So ya, we might have found a solution for the financial part of it... if it works, we will send it everything except the I-693 asap, and I will include a note stating with who, when and where I have an appointment with a civil surgeon and that the form will follow as soon as it is filed with her(the dr.). I guess that is the best I can come up with right this second.

Is it true that some get their green card within a matter of just a few months and others have to wait way longer than that?

Thanks guys for the inputs:)
