I married a Filipina recently and am in the process of starting the I-130. I see one option for proving a bonifide marriage is to show co-mingling of finances. Sounds easy enough. Called my bank today to have my new wife added to my account. Well, guess what? They can't add her because she does not have a social security number. And from what I understand, she can not get a social security number if she is not here. So how the heck does one show co-mingling of finances??????????

Looks like this is going to be alot of fun!

Time to read carefully and interpret literally. Anything that follows, "In addition to the required...." is simply not required. Then read the words "one or more" and realize it doesn't mean the same as "each and every". It's often a good idea to provide "one or more" but usually it's the "any other" category that works for newlyweds. Concentrate on evidence of time spent together like passport stamps and photos together.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
