Hello everyone,

I have few questions. Basically my US citizen wife applied for her parents who are in India. We sent in two completed I-130 application..

About a month ago, we received my mother-in-law's I-130 approval notice but my father-in-law's approval notice never came in (as of today)

Question # 1 : I just received two packets from NVC today, one for my mother-in-law and one for my father-in-law.

My confusion is how the hell NVC received my dad's case information if it wasn't approved? Should I be worrying for this or should i just continue with the next steps?

Question # 2 : The $88 dollar AOS fee, do I need to pay it for both my mom and dad's file? ( I knwo the answer but just wanted to make sure :)

thanks everyone...

receive how? postal mail or email ?

have the petitioner check in with NVC Hotline, go over the casefiles now...

the NOA-2 postal letter/formletter is not needed for this type of processing - it was needed for YOUR K-3 visa, though.

Pay particular attention to what's what at the NVC Online Payment Portal - if you see both cases there, there should only be one fee, as the casefiles should be 'joined up' at this stage. If they are not joined up - have the USCitizen Petitioner call into NVC and request this.

Read this a bit -

then memorize the LingChe Shortcuts.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

1. Your Dad case must be approved, they don't make these mistakes.

2. AOS fee is going to be one fee not 2 times, but VISA fee will be separate.

Good Luck
