Does this mean RFE? I'm confused...

Initial Review

On January 17, 2012, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

No if it was an RFE it would say on January we sent you a request for evidence.

That says transferred. Either you were sent to CSC for " faster " processing or you are being sent to your local office for interview.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

I had the same with my case. It got transferred to CSC before the biometrics.

08/07/2007: Arrived on F1 visa

12/20/2010: Wedding

12/13/2011: I-130 and I-485 sent to Chicago Lockbox

12/14/2011: Packet received

12/17/2011: Checks cleared

12/19/2011: Hard copy of NOAs for I-130 and I-485 received

12/29/2011: Biometrics appointment received (01/25/2012)

01/04/2012: Transfer Notice (CSC) for both I-130 and I-485

01/09/2012: Touched

01/25/2012: Biometrics. Done!

03/29/2012: Touched

10/29/2012: Touched

11/10/2012: NOA-Interview letter for Dec 3rd 2012

12/3/2012: Interview at 9:00 AM. Received approval email at 5:45 PM.

It almost took 12 months (351 days) but I'm glad it's over.

This might sound stupid, but you still had to go to your biometrics appointment right?

This might sound stupid, but you still had to go to your biometrics appointment right?

Of course. The photo and fingerprint they take at the biometrics appointment is printed on the green card. No photo = no green card. The fingerprints are also used for background checks.

The passport style photos you send in with the application are only stored in the file now. At one time those photos were also used on the AP document, but that ended when they combined the AP and EAD into a single card.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

My biometrics appointment is scheduled for the 25th of Jan'.

08/07/2007: Arrived on F1 visa

12/19/2011: Hard copy of NOAs for I-130 and I-485 received

12/29/2011: Biometrics appointment received (01/25/2012)

01/04/2012: Transfer Notice (CSC) for both I-130 and I-485

01/09/2012: Touched

01/25/2012: Biometrics. Done!

03/29/2012: Touched

10/29/2012: Touched

11/10/2012: NOA-Interview letter for Dec 3rd 2012
