i need clarification !

hi guys,

my wife who is the USC, after she sent the I-130 the USCIS emailed her telling her that they've got the application but till now after a month she did not get the mail of NOA1 yet :( i mean: " Form I-797 "... so i want to know : what is the importance of the I-797 and the whole package of NOA1 ? because i think we will not get it and it is lost in the mails... do we need it later for any purpose ?

NOA1 is not a package it is a single sheet of paper stating the USCIS has your application and will start processing it.

Its not used later for anything.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

it may be an indication of (pick one or more):

1. uscis not send it out yet or

2. usps mail carrier is an idiot or

3. USCitizen Spouse's address is munged or

4. USCitizen Spouse has moved out of the address listed on the I-130

so, ask yer USCitizen Spouse to call into USCIS, get a Tier 2 Human, and

1. ask if any returned mail pieces

2. verify the address stored in their system

3. ask for all returned mail pieces to be resent to the verified address

then

glue a name card with her name and your name on the inside of the post box.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
