Should we take our daughter to the aos interview? She's 19months and very active I know she won't stay still.

Leave your child at home. A US citizen child does not get you anything extra. The AOS interview is stressful enough. If your child won't stay still, you will be distracted. This is not an interview where you can afford distractions that would lead to an unhelpful answer.

Up to you. We took our daughter. Didn't make the interview quicker or easier but the IO was used to seeing kids and had toys for her. Though it did seem to benefit when they asked me if I was sure who her father was (!) but then the IO looked at my daughter (spitting image of my husband) & was like "yeah, they look alike!"

Anyway. It's up to you. It'll be fine either way.

08.25.2010 - NOA hard copies received (x4), case status available online: 765, 131, 130.
10.15.2010 - RFE received: need 2 additional photos for AP.
10.18.2010 - RFE response sent certified mail
10.21.2010 - Service request placed for biometrics
10.25.2010 - RFE received per USCIS
10.26.2010 - Text/email received - AP approved!
10.28.2010 - Biometrics appointment received, dated 10/22 - set for 11/19 @ 3:00 PM
11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
11.04.2010 - Text/Email (2nd) - EAD card sent for production
11.08.2010 - Text/Email (3rd) - EAD approved
11.10.2010 - EAD received
12.11.2010 - Interview letter received - 01.13.11
01.13.2011 - Interview - no decision on the spot
01.24.2011 - Approved! Card production ordered!

We took our 18 month old boy, half the conversation was about him, eases the tension between you and the interviewer, they are parents too. Our interviewer told us to have a seat and relax, i replied, i will have a seat but we wont relax since as soon as i sit he's gonna get into your stuff, he replied that he has 5 kids, so he's seen it all. I asked if we could bring him in with us to the interview area when we got there, and they encourage it, more than delighted to see little ones, who isnt.

I'm taking my little one, I'm a sahm so there's no option to leave her with anyone any way, we took her when I went for biometrics and everyone was very nice to her and I'm going into the same office so I foresee the same treatment.

They understand that you don't always have an option to leave your child, we leave home at 5am to get to the office clearly dropping her off at daycare isn't an option.

B1/2 overstay

i-130/i-485 mailed 12/05/2011

Biometrics- 01/03/2012 (rec letter dec 18th)

EAD card arrived- 02-08-2012

Interview and Approved- 02-21-2012

GC in hand 02-29-2012

76 days from Dec 8 to Feb 21
