Had our interview was told he was approved. Check the Embassy website and it says

case is under processing, does anyone know what this means? for my husbands peace of mind please.

7-19-07 we met online

4-15-08 Mo asked me to marry him!

8-5-08 went to Italy to meet Mo (best time of my life)

4-4-09 returned home to file K-1

5-27-09 mailed in I-129F

5-28-09 Vermont center received package @ 12:34pm

5-29-09 NOA1 mailed to me

6-2-09 checked cashed

6-6-09 received NOA1

9-24-09 received RFE

9-24-09 returned RFE with correct info

9-25-09 they received RFE back

9-29-09 they resumed case processing

10-8-09 NOA2 was approved hard copy in mail Yea!!!

10-13-09 received noa2 hard copy.

Ok so that this is updated there was a change and we decided to go ahead and

get married in Egypt and not do the Fiance visa. We got married Dec 5th, 2010.

We filed I-130 in early March 2011 and our interview is Jan 12th, 2012.

The actual timeline has all other information if you wish to see it.

You're timeline says you were approved but put in AP - is that correct?

If so, this is why it is still being processed. They are not done with the review but once they are, you will see an update on the website. According to your comment on the timeline, they mentioned 1-6 weeks for AP to be complete. I can't speak for the embassy you are dealing with, but I was told that all cases in my husbands embassy are put in AP for some period of time - whether that be 1 day or 1 month. I think it is a standard practice - possible an upper level person in the embassy reviews the case once approved to be sure the CO covered all the pertinent areas.

If they said approved and gave you an expected wait time....I wouldn't worry at all. It could be over tomorrow.

Medical Re-Done: 1/5/12

Waiting for Issuance of Visa.........

This is AP which seems to be standard for just about any male from Egypt. Some get lucky, like my husband and only spend 3 1/2 weeks on AP, while others drag on for over a year. Hopefully yours will be speedy! All you can do now is wait.

suggest the USCitizen Petitioner

call into the DoS Hotline (# in my profile, left panel)

then

ASK for casefile status, and then

ask specifically:

Is the casefile in Administrative Processing or Administrative Review?

Are the namechecks complete, or no ?

September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
