Hello everyone,

USCIS informed me my petition was approved Jan 4th and forwarded to the Visa Unit and if they are aware I'm in possession of all the documents via the checklist, I'll get a interview letter within the next few days, i faxed off the checklist the day after I filed the I-130. So after one week when it didn't come, I emailed them and they did not even have the petition yet, mind you, USCIS is upstairs. So here I am2 weeks later and nothing. Anyone been in this situation or know how long it takes from approval to letter?????

Thanks.

Thanks, I emailed them and they. Emailed me to say it was processed today and my interview is on the 1st of feb. Happy but also annoyed it takes a month from approval to interview. I miss my husband, this is worse than a deployment lol

Congrats on the approval and interview. It's still very quick compared to other consulates. I understand what you mean by this is worse than a deployment. We went 2 years with him deployed and I swear the 11 months we took with the visa was worse. :)

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR: (dd/mm/yyyy)

18/09/09 - CR1 NOA1

16/07/10 - POE LAX (256 days NOA1 to interview)

27/09/10 - Aussie/American bun in the oven due May 10, 2011

06/01/11 - Submitted change of address online to USCIS. Mailed I-865 for sponsor. Neverending!

05/05/11 - Bouncing baby boy arrives

10/07/12 - Sent I-751

13/07/12 - I-751 NOA1

I know. I am sorry to complain. We filed a month to late. He was here up until the end of dec so we are only going to be apart for 6 weeks and we are already half way through it. We have do e a 15mo and a 12 mo deployment, and I think this feels worse because he is just sittin in the states andi am sitting here. I can call him now, so this really is easier. All the best.
