We are July filers too...we received an RFE November 18,2011 and we sent USCIS our response and the necessary documentation that they asked last December 12, 2011. We are still waiting for our NOA2 to date. It is so heart-breaking that we were apart during the holidays. It has been a very long journey and still is, six months is like eternity. We do hope and pray that we will be together on Valentines Day! Vermont Service Center please make it happen for us. And to you my prayers, hope we will be getting our NOA2 soon. Good luck and God bless

I am almost exactly with your timeline! We received a RFE only because I somehow missed answering a question on the I-129f form :bonk: The USCIS sent me notification on December 13th that they received my response to the evidence requested. You can read my timeline where I called my congressman for assistance. Let's continue to pray earnestly that we get our NOA2 very soon.

My NOA 1 date is July 25, have heard nothing at all. :\ no request for evidence or anything like that. As it's coming up to 6 months at the end of January, we are thinking about planning a short trip for me to go over to America for a visit. We haven't seen each other in about 10 months now and it's getting a little ridiculous. I thought having to wait 5 months was bad enough!!

EDIT: We have filed at the CSC, but it looks like they are having the same problem...

I am also august filer VSC and my fiancee called up USCIS and he been told to wait end of January so were hoping before this month ends we get our noa2. My cousin is also an august filer VSC and had already noa2 last December 20.

Yes, for August filers, the end of January would be 5 months. I am a July file, so I am already one week away from six months. I have heard they have lost my file and still waiting for confirmation on that.

We have not heard anything, has anyone done anything else such as filing for an inquiry w/USCIS or contacting a congressman???, Let's share our thoughts and advise from others that already been here... Out loved ones overseas are having to face a difficult wait especially because we could not spend time together during the holidays, which is family time.

What service center you at, Texas is not a service center? You are either Vermont EAC, or California WAC, its on your 797 you received.

We did that too, were very hopeful we would have heard something by Christmas. I spent a week in Belgium, the first week in January...still nothing.

I called today and tried to put in a service request, but was told that they could not process it yet. The reason was that offically they are working on July 10 received date petitions and to call back in 36 to 40 days. In response to me saying I know people who have applied in August after me and even September have received their approvals, the person said everybody's is different and each processor is different. One could work faster and another slower and mine is probably on a processors desk that works slower. :crying::crying::crying:

Hi LagrimasDeAmor,

there has been cases, many at that in which the congressman's inquiry at the local office has led to an approval within 48 hrs (i got mines the next day)

I would say everyone has their own luck with that, some have not seen results from them and really just had to wait. but i would tell you to find out your local congressman's office call and set up an apt to visit them in person. FORGET THE ONLINE INQUIRIES. call the local office, go there...sign the form giving them authorization to further call the center and inquire on your behalf. when i got my call back from the community liaison at the local congressman's office she told me that the lady at the vsc had just pulled the file and would get back to me within 3 days....and there it was the very next evening that i got the approval...

I hope that you're able to see results from this. check out my timeline and also some previous topics....

My friends, my prayers will be with you.. Let's be positive, something has to happened this month, we all have some sort of special circumstances hang in there... Although the answer may not be the best but at least we can hope for the end of the month..

I agree a lot of September filers are already receiving their NOA2s... while some July filers have not heard anything yet. Some cases have not even been touched. Hopefully is only a back up generated by the holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Years). Let's just pray that we all get a NOA2 approval soon... Specially by Valentine's Day. I tried to go back and spend it w/my love one, but its not easy, It is hard to say good bye at the airport and leave them behind once again plus is not only the emotional cost but the financial cost and additional costs coming post NOA2.
