July & August VSC Filers witn NO NOA2 as of yet; Is anyone doing anything to expedite????

We have not heard anything, has anyone done anything else such as filing for an inquiry w/USCIS or contacting a congressman???, Let's share our thoughts and advise from others that already been here... Out loved ones overseas are having to face a difficult wait especially because we could not spend time together during the holidays, which is family time.

i don't think theres anything else we can do =/ our last resort is the congressman but still haven't heard from them.

My filing date was July 26, 2011 and I have been in touch with both my Senator and Congressman. Both were very receptive and have inquired as to the status of my application. I have now been in touch with an immigration attorney, I have had just about enough. My Congressman's office came back with, "USCIS is unable to locate your file". I provided him with the information that USCIS had asked for and am still waiting to hear. Today is a holiday, hopefully will hear back from the attorney tomorrow and am anxious to hear what response he gets from USCIS. Would be happy to keep you posted if you would like.

We are late August folers and have not heard a thing yet. I will wait for 5 months and 1 week before trying to make an inquiry. Our file is at CSC and I know they are a little slow now. I am hoping K1 visa become a priority soon

I am calling tommorow. I called on Friday and was told if I did not hear anything but Tuesday morning, to call back on Tuesday, so that is what I am doing. I hope that maybe we get our NOA2(at least the text and email) before I place the call on Tuesday afternoon.

Have you printed off off the "signature authorization form"? Go to your senator or congressman's website and you will either need to fill out a form online or print it out and fax to them so they can inquire on your behalf. Then you can call them.

I meant to say I am calling to have a service request done to the Vermont Service Center. My next step will be to call my Congressman or Seator.

Have you already inquired with your congressman meaning you sent them an email or are they alreayd actively calling on your behalf?

According to Igor's timeline, not many from July and August have received their NOA2's at all. In fact, more from December 2011 than from late July or August.

We are July filers too...we received an RFE November 18,2011 and we sent USCIS our response and the necessary documentation that they asked last December 12, 2011. We are still waiting for our NOA2 to date. It is so heart-breaking that we were apart during the holidays. It has been a very long journey and still is, six months is like eternity. We do hope and pray that we will be together on Valentines Day! Vermont Service Center please make it happen for us. And to you my prayers, hope we will be getting our NOA2 soon. where did you get that info about july and aug filters got noa2 i went on igors list and they are all backed up but im thinking alot of ppl are not updating their timeline

there has been cases, many at that in which the congressman's inquiry at the local office has led to an approval within 48 hrs (i got mines the next day)

I would say everyone has their own luck with that, some have not seen results from them and really just had to wait. but i would tell you to find out your local congressman's office call and set up an apt to visit them in person. FORGET THE ONLINE INQUIRIES. call the local office, go there...sign the form giving them authorization to further call the center and inquire on your behalf. when i got my call back from the community liaison at the local congressman's office she told me that the lady at the vsc had just pulled the file and would get back to me within 3 days....and there it was the very next evening that i got the approval...
