Hello all

I know this topic was discussed before however I would like to hear from anyone who has actually done the trip. My questions refers to taking a “domestic” voyage from Hawaii on pride of America with my new wife WHO ENTERED the usa on a k1 visa, I saw on the company’s website that on disembarkation we need to pass through customs, WHY I do not know. My fear is running into a crazy person who could create some problems, I personally do not see it was international travel, gambling is not allowed, its a us flag ship going from us port to us port staying in us waters ie gambling. I do not know why I am worried about this now, but I am, so if anyone has done this trip it would rid me of this “what if crazy custom guy” feeling I have… thank you

If you do not have an AP, and you get diverted to international waters, you cannot get back to the USA and have abandoned your Visa.

You do not know where the other passengers are from. Perhaps they need to have their papers checked. So..everyone goes through customs. You are taking a chance that even if this ship does not routinely go into international waters, something could change and you wife would be stuck in limbo. Wait until she has her AP or better yet, her green card. Then you have nothing to worry about.Your marriage is more important than a cruise.

K-1 is a one-time use visa. She cannot use it twice. Please be aware that customs is different than border patrol.
