I'd say this is similar to Iran saying they are not trying to develop a bomb. I think the fact that they are there and will maybe hang around for a year waiting for that drill to happen sends a msg to Iran about the straight of Hormuz. I also think if I was in charge of the American carriers I wouldn't want one in the Straight of Hormuz when the poop hit the fan.

Let's just put it like this:

Clinton's last budget was in 2001 (ran from OCT 2000 to OCT 2001). It was a surplus of $127 billion.....And the 2000 surplus was $237 billion. So Bush was handed a golden economy.

The economy was so incredible they predicted Bush would end his term with a total of about $6 trillion in total surpluses. Every year surplus, surplus, no debt, etc.

Well, Bush handed Obama a $1.2 trillion deficit in 2009 (from OCT 2008 to OCT 2009).

So upon further investigation we can conclude that everything was fine until Bush arrived on the scene.

Between the US and Israel it would be a giant house cleaning of the Middle East if it ever came down to it. Israel with her air power and tanks, and the US with it's navy and carriers would kick butt. The nutters in those countries wouldn't stand a chance.
