More relationship evidence for interview?

Topic title pretty much says it all: It seems like most people aren't getting any evidence checked at the Montreal consulate, but should I go ahead and print off our electronic communication since July just in case? Did any of you supplement your I-130 evidence in preparation for the interview or did you just bring the originals of the scanned documents that were submitted to NVC via email?

I don't recall bringing any records of our online conversations! Just a few pics, letters, airfare receipts! They didn't ask to see any of it. If it makes you feel better, bring it. a plastic accordian binder works nicely to hold everything. Have ur interview letter/passport in the front compartment. best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I wouldn't bother if you already have other evidence- electronic communication is further down on the list of evidence of a relationship. Photos, passport stamps, plane tickets, receipts, etc. and whatever the originals you sent to NVC were serve better as evidence.

If you want to bring it just in case just print off a few things here and there from different points of time- no need to print off 50 pages of the stuff.

Okay, maybe we'll just bring the extra plane tickets and a few more photos instead.

Thanks to both of you!

Right - we're just not a high fraud country and while they may ask for evidence, your receipts and plane tickets are much better examples then a chat log. Most interviews are 5-10 minutes tops. The interviewer doesn't have time (or interest probably) to read through chat logs.
