When does the 4month wait time begin?

Thank you very much for keeping me updated :) I really appreciate it! My case got assigned to an Immigration Officer on Thursday so I'm hoping to hear something very soon. Once again...CONGRATULATIONS!!

Very glad your case is assigned to an immigration officer last Thursday!!

By the way, we got a third email from the USCIS at 12:47am early this morning which looked exactly like the first email received yesterday about Card Production. The second one was "Decision" which said they mailed a notice registering my wife as permanent resident. Wonder if we will get another email with "Post Decision Activity" :)

Anyway, I'm glad things are moving along for both our cases! :)

How did you find that out that it got assigned on thursday ?

Hi Sean,

Basically what happened was that last night after work I called the USCIS and I talked to a Tier 1 representative that told me my case was back in my local field office and that they were working on June 3rd cases! I went home and me and my husband were both really upset as to why this had happened. I called back today to find out exactly when my case was transferred back to my local field office and the guy I was talking to put me through to a Tier 2 Immigration Officer. She said the information the woman gave to me the day previously was completely incorrect and she said in fact your case was assigned an immigration officer at CSC on Thursday. I don't know whether she was meant to tell me this or whether she said it because she was so annoyed that the representative had told me this very wrong piece of information. I now know however that my case was very much at CSC as I got approved a couple of hours ago!!! :D

Naturalization Journey (Based on 5 years as a PR):

November 21st 2016 - Sent N-400 to Dallas Lockbox.

November 30th - Check Cashed.

December 1st - Email/Text Notifications.

December 8th - Hardcopy of NOA received (Priority Date 11/25).

December 9th - Biometrics Appointment Letter received.

December 19th - Biometrics Appointment.

January 4th 2017 - "In Line" for Interview.

June 9th - Online status changed to "Interview was Scheduled".

June 12th - Interview Letter received.

July 19th - Interview (NYC). Requested a "delayed Oath" for after September 4th 2017.

September 11th - Oath Letter received. Honored my request for a delayed Oath Ceremony. 

September 14th - Oath Ceremony.

I got approved a couple of hours ago...what a wonderful feeling!!! I have got two emails so far...so I shall wait for my 3rd email with anticipation :P Hehe maybe you will...at least we know now from EAD experience that all this moving about "Dedcion" to "Post decision activity" is nothing to worry about :)

While you're waiting for your 3rd email, my wife got her 4th email about 40 minutes ago :D

Her status is back to Card/ Document Production

On February 8, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I sincerely hope this is her last email and really hoping to see the her card soon :D
