Address change between approval and POE

My wife was approved back in December and will go through POE on February 5th (yay!). On January 20th I will be moving apartments, so that when she goes through POE she will be giving a different destination address than was on her paperwork up to this point. Is there anything we need to do now or be aware of? Or does this have no effect at all? I will be with her at the POE.

USCIS (128 days)

January 8, 2011: Mailed Petition for Alien Relative packet to USCIS.

February 1, 2011: Received Notice of Action 1.

May 16, 2011: Received Notice of Action 2. Case handed off to NVC.

NVC (41 days)

June 24, 2011: Mailed Affidavit of Support packet to NVC.

July 12, 2011: Received checklist letter 1.

(Long delay intentional; not counted in processing time.)

October 12, 2011: Mailed Immigrant Visa packet to NVC.

October 20, 2011: Received checklist letter 2.

October 26, 2011: Mailed checklist letter response packet to NVC.

November 4, 2011: Received interview letter. Case handed off to the consulate in KL.

Consulate

November 12, 2011: Completed medical exam.

November 19, 2011: Picked up results, everything clear.

December 1, 2011: Interview - approved!

December 8, 2011: Visa in hand.

POE and beyond

February 5, 2012: POE at JFK, no problems.

February 29, 2012: Applied for and received SSN from the local SSO.

April, 2012: Applied for and received state ID at the DMV.

(Slight delay, had to redo biometrics at the local service center.)

April, 2012: Conditional green card arrived!

Removal of conditions

2014 is right around the corner...

Check the original application you filled out. There is a section on Change of Address mentioned. Who to contact and when.

It's very important to make sure immigration officials know the correct address to avoid delays. Secondly, go online to USPS and do a change of address in your name and her name, and its

effective immediately.

When we were at the PoE, we were asked by the ICE officer to confirm our address again in order to receive the green card! You can request for address change at that time too!

Pls guide me. My wife's all documents(naturalization certificate, passport, her address in my marriage certificate, AOS docs sumbmitted etc) are in old address. so when we say , we moved to a new address, do we need to change address in all these docs. If the immigration officers check, everywhere her address point to old address. Will this be a problem.

I need more help about this

This is sorta a big deal, as the green card will be sent to that address.

USUALLY the CBP officer will ask if any address change

but

in case yer not asked, be certain to get it done with the CBP officer. If he seems clueless, ask to be taken into secondary inspection for address change intake.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
