Hello VJ ,

I would like to ask if any smoker here pass the xray test. I'm also scared about this one though i don't smoke daily but still i smoke. I smoke every month depending if there's an occasion and i am not sure of how many stick of cigarettes i always consumed every time i smoke during drinking session. Do you think being a smoker will affect about my xray? Any advice? Should i go to another clinic or hospital for preliminary xray to make sure that everything is okey? . just asking..

What they look on the x-ray is TB only so you should be fine with smoking.

You are better off worrying about the cancer. If you can go for a week without smoking then you can stop altogether. I'm an xray tech.

The smoking won't cause you to fail the medical but you could pay a bigger price down the road. You are making a major change in

your life, this is a good time to leave a bad habbit behind you. cigarettes kill people.

What about having a cough or cold during medical ? Is there possibility that you will undergo the sputum test if you have a cough during your XRAY?

Having a cough or a cold will not make a chest xray look like you have TB.
