Hello everyone visajourney has been so helpful in this process of immigration. We have gotten most if not all of our information from here and it has been very very helpful. I want to thank everyone for their help and the wonderful information on this site, Without we would really be so lost. Thank You (F)

My spouse and I applied for the I-130 and we applied for a CR1 visa feb 2011. Our case is at the US consulate in Riyadh KSA. Where my husband lives, but he hold a pakistani citizenship and passport, not Saudi. We requested to expediate the interview, since I am here alone and we are expecting our first child. We really become so excited and thought he would be here before the baby, but that will not be the case :(. On the date of his interview last month, he was given the refusal worksheet the consular said he was not approved or denied, just need to turn in this paperwork.

1)Amended of passport/name change showing full name - Apprently they said he has no last name, just first, he must change his name and have a correct or proper last name. What he uses for last name is not his last name but just his father full name.

2) Pass financial records with any proof

We have read online what it means, but are not very sure.

What does this mean? Section 221(g) which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the Immigration and Nationaly Act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. The following remarks apply in your case**

(I wrote them above)

I read one post that they send the case back to USCIS? Do they still do that?

How can we take the next step?

He has already changed his name legally, order a new ID, and then after that arrives, we plan to order a passport with new name change.

He was told to send the passport, and financial records to Ridayh when he has them.

He did finger printing of both hands, but I do not know if this is the biomtrics? He was not charged any money??

Does anyone know if he will have a second interview?

How long will it take before they review our case or give a visa?

What is the next step we can take? It has almost been a year since we have started

this process :(

** Another question

Is it possible for us to change our case to US Embassy or Consulate in Pakistan? If so does anyone know the proccess, and is it a good idea to change the location?? Thank You

You haven't been denied.

The CO is asking for additional information/documentation.

It seems like when you submit them they might approve your husband visa.
