We had an interview yesterday and it was successful but i have some questions. I recently got admitted to a college and just only received the letter of admission but during the interview, the officer asked if i was in school and my answer was No. Will this affect the outcome of the interview? I also work on-call at a home care and totally forgot about that job, when he asked if i presently worked i said No. I am so scared because the letter i got after the interview says "further review on your I-485". Will my answers affect the results? Please help!

jojolicious & bigdog- thanks!

russian goddess, our interview went pretty smooth. It started with an oath administered by the interviewing officer and then he asked my wife same questions on the forms we filled. He verified our answers on the forms and asked me common sense questions like dob, date i arrived the states, if i worked, my answer was yes and he asked if i fraudulently produced any documents to work in the state, my answer was no.He asked if i currently worked and i said no because i forgot about an on call job i do. He then asked if i was ever arrested and i said no but just had driving tickets issued that were not more than $500. He took my passport, cancelled my F1 visa and asked to see proof of our marriage. I showed him bank statements, lease agreement and my baby's birth certificate. He asked how old the baby was and i replied, right then he said the interview was over and i should remember to apply to remove the conditions on my PR card after 2 yrs. He handed me a paper that stated my application is still under further review and that was it!

I wish you all the best on your interview. Let me know how it goes but i'm very sure you'll come out smiling.

we have qn interview this coming wednesday. what do they ask? do they separate my husband and myself to ask questions?

They usually ask basic questions such as your parents names and how you met. They ask the questions off the I-485, like have you been convicted, are you a terrorist, etc. They will interview you and your husband together. The interview most likely won't even last long, from 5-15 minutes. Relax. The AOS interviews are typically not bad at all, especially when you know you have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide. Good luck!
