My finacee was scheduled for interview on September 28, 2010 and was OK, but the CO said he was satisfied and would like to approve the K1 visa but would not do so since she just had a baby and the CRBA would need to be approved (we already applied for the CRBA before the interview date on September 22, 2010) before K1 visa could be approved. On the embassy website, it is mentioned that CRBA interview date will be scheduled within 10 business days after the submission of the required documents...this is i a lie...we found out that it was 30 business days! In late October she was scheduled for interview on November 3,2010 and the CRBA was approved without DNA requirement. Then on November 20th (Sunday) I received an e mail from the embassy scheduling a CRBA interview for December 13th, 2010! This was really strange because it was a sunday. I was confused so I called the ACS in Lagos, and was told it was an error because both the CRBA and th passport had been approved but some idiot in their office failed to remove from pending file to "processing file" and the gentleman was very apologetic. The big mistake we made was to ask the embassy to scheule the K1 visa followup interview for us when the CRBA was approved, so my fiancee would just go and pick up the CRBA and passport and interview on the same date...wrong! Once the delay came about we asked the embassy to schedule the intervew independent of the CRBA and passport they said OK. To our surprise the new interview date got scheduled for February 27, 2012! This of course ticked me off! I sent e mail to them to reconsider on December 8, 2010...they did not even acknowledge receipt let alone respond! So Ijust resigned myself to February 27, 2012 which is very frustrating. The only consolation to me was I was able to see my daughter and fiancee in September and December. It was hard saying Good bye AGAIn two weeks ago. But I know the time left for them to come is less than I have been waiting. If you are in the same predcament as I am...just hang in there..."it may tarry but it will come..." Habakuk 2: 3

Yes you are right...thtat's another way of looking at it. I just thought that the interview should have ben done immediately the CRBA was approved as there were no other issues to be resolved. Thank God anyway for how far his mercy has brought and sustained us.
