buy a recording system with a microphone and stick it in your jacket, blouse ,whatever. record all the BS he's been telling you, threats and other stuff and keep the recordings in case he reports you or anything.

Can anyone please clarify this?

When I called USCIS they said to change it at the post office, I said government mail wasn't forwarded- they said it was.

I filled out the AR11 but they said that wont change the address for the green card to be sent to. And they cant look at what address is on file until I receive my welcome letter and have a receipt number to give them which will also go to his old address

I have changed my address with the post office near where im staying. Should I do it online as well?

I'm not sure what else to do???

The AR-11 is handled by USCIS data center operations in London, KY. The update rarely gets out to the centers that actually produce the card. So, when the card is produced and mailed - it's normally NOT sent to the address that was updated on the AR-11. It sucks, but the London KY data center is a black hole for bull-cr@p.

Now, even with that said -

USCIS postal letters are not forwarded by USPS if there is a USPS 'forward order' in place. It simply isn't done. Those VJ members who have reported it happening got extremely lucky.

HOWEVER - green card mailing now comes with a tracking #. I can't tell you how to get the tracking #, but at least if you can GET the tracking number, you can track the shipment online at USPS.com

YOU COULD put in a 'hold order' at the local post office, they will hold up to 90 days. So your mail comes in, it's HELD at the USPS post office, for you to come pick up. I suggest you put in a hold order then monitor USCIS for green card production and sending - then 2 weeks after USCIS says it was sent out - go to the local post office and do a pick up of yer mail.

Ultimately, if the green card is returned by the USPS to USCIS - this is now deemed 'returned mail' - and you have an easy remedy for 'returned mail' - call into USCIS, get an ISO, a Tier 2 Human, and ask about returned mail pieces. Give the ISO YOUR NEW ADDRESS and ask that all returned mail pieces be sent to the NEW ADDRESS. Then ya wait another 15 days or so - USICS will send your returned mail pieces (hopefully the greencard is one of these) to the NEW ADDRESS.
