So I got my RFE and I sent it back to the California Service Center.

They got the RFE today and says we'll be contacted in the next 60 days.

When do we get our interviews? And if we get interviews -- will they send something about it so that we can make appointments?

I'm now a bit confused on what we should do next in our process.

Only the beneficiary will have an interview, at his/her embassy in his/her home country.

Right now, you need to wait for your I-129F petition approval (NOA2). You can start looking for the documents that your fiance will need to have from you during his interview. Go here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide and scroll down to "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2)".

Your fiance will also need to gather some documents, he can find more infos about his embassy here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=New%20Zealand&cty=Auckland (the last update is a little old…), and also look at the official embassy website of his country.

FYI, you can also look at the K-1 process flowchart here http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow to know where you are in the process and which stage is next. :)

Seems like they are processing them fast right now, in a few weeks… But some people also waited 1-2 months. Hopefully yours will be quick! :)

Congrats :) Try calling NVC to get your new case number once they have received the petition.

Check embassy info on VJ or on the embassy's webpage - usually it says whether or not you can schedule a medical with the case number, or if you need the letter from the embassy first. Often, the packet 3 only consists of instructions and what to gather.

It may help to read interview reviews on this site too so you get an idea of which documents to gather.

Another update, I got a letter from US Consulate Gen. in Sydney, Aus. In the letter, it's asking about paper work that appears we have already done.

Is it because they want their own copy of it? Or does it mean something else? Should my fiance make his appointment for his interview? Or is that a different kind of letter?

Thank you

Which paperwork do they ask for?

Now that you are at the embassy stage, you will have better replies from people who got to your embassy. This link may also help you: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Australia&cty=Sydney

edit - I found an example. But I am now stressed out by this Affidavit of support I-134 form. It's asking for income, etc. when I am a full time student. I'm still dependent with my parents and I just don't know what to put. I'm stressed out right now to the point where I'm in tears, I'm terrified now that they'll deny my fiance because of this.

Really? How do we do that? My mum said she would be willing to co-sponsor.

Both you and your parent would have to fill out the I-134 form -- one for you (even if you have no income) and another for her. She would need to show that she makes enough to cover the fiancé in addition to any other dependents she has in her household. Be sure to check out the Affidavit of Support tips page: http://www.visajourney.com/content/support.

Depending on the size of the household, the poverty guideline shows you how much income is needed: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf. (Look at the family size and then look at the 125% amount.)
