For the Ds-160 application, should both individuals do their own applications or should they do a group application? They are both sisters. What are the pros and cons of doing group or individual applications?

Each person qualifies alone. they will each need their own application.

They are not group... group is for when someone is traveling with a tourist company who has organiszed the trip.

Even in that instance people have to stand alone for their own visa.

Each Visa is a stand alone, send them a letter of invitation to include with their application.
