Hi All.

so we are getting the papers ready to file for AOS and I am of corse confused about some of them

Otman got the 90 day temp EAD stamp when he arrived in New York. Now when we file for AOS do we fill out the I-765 or is that something you fill out if you never got the temp stamp? Do you get an EAD simply by filing for AOS?

uhh what does it all mean? Is it possible to receive the EAD before your AOS is approved? or do they all come together?

thanks,

Sarah

The temp will expire with the visa so if you want to try to work before adjustment you should file for the EAD. It took Claudeth about 75 days after filing to receive her EAD. Good luck

Yes, you are supposed to get the 1-year EAD within 90 days of getting the NOA1 for the I-765. You definitely want to apply for this (if Otman wants to work), it's a work authorization that you can get before your AOS interview.
