Hi everyone

Greetings of peace!

I just want to consult my case with you and hope someone could cheer me up and enlighten me on what to do and not to do.

Originally I'm under F2A but since I aged out already I'm under F2B now, my question is will my PD when I'm under F2A will still be the same now that I'm under F2B already? What should my petitioner best do? My mom is Permanent resident but i think she is now a Citizen if im not mistaken. Is there anything we can do for now? Or just wait? My two younger sisters are now green card holders I'm next in line to be petitioned but sad to know that I aged out.

Thank you so much!

Take care always!

Your priority date remains the same. The visa category automatically converts to F2B.

If your mother has become a US citizen then she can notify NVC and have your petition upgraded to F1 category. For most countries that would knock about a year off the waiting time. However, if you're in the Philippines then upgrading the petition would set you back about 4 years. In that case, you'd want to remain in the F2B category.

100% true....but just want to add that how do you know that u r aged out? bcaz if it is predicted by you then you should consider the effects of CSPA(i think atleast 5 to 6 month to get petition approved)...otherwise wait for ur pd to become current in whichever category u belongs...
