Photos or Scans for I-751?

Hello,

My wife arrived in 2009 on a K-1, and had her AOS interview/received her Green Card in March 2010. The Green Card was good for two years, and we are now in the process of filling out/sending the I-751 to remove conditions. This may sound like a stupid question, but in the past, every time we needed to submit any photos (example: Her K-1 and AOS interviews), we could bring them with us directly to the interview. But in the case of the I-751, there sometimes is no need for an interview, so photos or copies of photos are supposed to be mailed. (We're just not sure which...) So... My main question... Do we send the actual photos themselves (marital evidence - holidays, family times, etc.) in the mail as part of the I-751 packet? OR... Should we just scan the photos instead and send the images on paper? Maybe there's no right or wrong way for this - the instructions are just a bit vague, and if we send lots of actual photos, it just seems the packet may be more awkward/messy, not to mention much heavier (which will increase postage quite a bit).

Any idea how most people do it? And, if they send the actual photos in the mail, any tips on organizing? (I don't think we want to mail a photo album...lol). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Our photos were all digital so we opted to print them ourselves at home. We didn't even print them on photo paper (we didn't have any on hand at the time), just on regular letter size (8.5" x 11") cardstock and printed 4 photos per page :) Then we just wrote captions under each photo :)

We also printed our photos in color, 2-3 per page with captions on regular printer paper.

We did have an interview, and the officer looked at and discussed the photos with us. We actually spent a good bit of the interview talking about one of our vacations - he seemed absolutely fine with the printouts.

Hi Nate!

For me and hubby...we had approx 15 photos or so, we didnt want to just stick regular photos in the packet as we thought that the IO might get sh*tted off with trying to keep them together with the papers or opening/closing a plastic bags to see them... we were thinking the less problems the IO might have, the better for us!!

So....we jumped on the computer, opened a word document, inserted the photos, cropped them, fitted them almost like a collage, and even typed in a sentence under each pic explaining what we were doing in the pic!

We fitted appeox 4-5 photos on one page, and printed a total of 3 "photo pages". We used the photo paper too which looked real good snd quality to photo grade too!, and which was letter size so as to easily insert into the packet and made it "apart" of the evidence, and easy enough for the IO to flip through.

At the end of the day, maybe it was a little too much but i figured that seeing as i spent lots of time putting everything together, i may as well spend a little more time so that the IO can see our effort. (Whether or not it actually did "help" the IO somewhat, i have no idea! Lol)

And just to let you know, i got approved at the beginning of the month with no interview!!!

I took a bunch and put them in a word doc and printed it out, and then wrote on in hand when each one was taken. I've had a variety of hair styles so it was pretty funny to see them all in different order mixed up haha!
