Hi Visa Journey Members,

I'd like to start of by thanking everyone who helped and replied to my last post. The whole administrative review thing was tough to wait out, especially after reading some stories that after their long wait they got denied :[. But yes, I am in the states now and happily married to my marine (got married on New Years), filing for my AOS before he leaves for Afghanistan. I waited a little over a week for the certified copy of our marriage license and now ready to file, still waiting on my social security card through the mail though.

I guess this sounds dumb, but I'm applying for my AOS right now, and I'm not quite sure of where I can find my Alien Registration Number or if I even have one.

This is different than my I-94 number right?

Some advice will be much much appreciated.

thank you

JoyDee is correct, on your visa starts with A. Congratulations BTW. Wish your husband well on his deployment, Semper Fi.

Moved to AOS forums as it is a question about AOS not K-1.

A# ) can be sometimes found on the Visa but not all places will print it on the visa.

A# ) can be found on the NOA2

A# ) can also be found on the I-94 written by the CBP officer

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

Yes different to the I-94 number. Your A number can be found in many places but trust ONLY the NOA2. Anywhere else is open to human error.

Its a number that starts with an A that is on your visa.

This is correct for some people and wrong for others. Some (like me) don't have the A number on the visa at all. Some have the A number of their naturalized USC. Some have their A number typed incorrectly.

Trust ONLY the NOA2.

2. A# ) can be found on the NOA2

3. A# ) can also be found on the I-94 written by the CBP officer

A fellow Aussie had 3 different A numbers. Each of the examples above yielded a different number for him. Trust ONLY the NOA2. It is the original number and not open to human error.

Some people even get their AOS with a different number... it's just bizarre.

Our NOA2 did not have the A# listed above my husband's name. So I couldn't trust the NOA2, or it would mean he did not have an A# at all. :P

My husband asked the officer at his POE and luckily the number he wrote down on his I-94 for him was correct.

As long as you got the correct number you are good to go, noticed on our stuff some forms have the A number in the beginning other do not, it depends on why and where they are issued, another thing to study in this process, Good Luck and thank you and your family for your service to our country.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
