Hi,

My husband submitted I-864 EZ to NVC and it was accepted. I have noticed from the Russian embassy site that they require to bring I-864 or I-862A for interview. Does it mean I have to bring a different form for the interview than one submitted to NVC? Which one then? My husband’s income should be enough to support me. Thanks.

You should be bringing a copy of the exact form that your husband filled out with you to the interview. Like a copy of his form that he filled out.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Thanks. Closer to the time of interview my husband will file a new 2011 tax return. I guess I should bring a new I-864EZ for 2011 and not that one that he submitted for 2010 to NVC, right?

Bring whatever he submitted to NVC. You can take a new one along with the one he filled out...not sure if it helps or not because unless something changed, they want the form that he filled out. Doesn't make much sense seeing how NVC already has that form, but they want you to bring it with you to the interview. That form is done on Adobe so he can send you whatever he sent NVC.

For interview, they require an original I-864. Does it mean my husband should sign it again and mail it to me rather than emailing me a copy that he mailed to NVC?

Also, he has an original slip W-2, but he has a computer-generated tax return, i.e., he did not really signed it as he filed it electronically. I hope they will be fine with that at the interview.

Thanks and sorry for bothering you with that. I just want to make sure everything will be in a right order for the interview.

I sent my wife the I-864 via Federal Express. Same with the tax transcripts. I got my last three years of tax transcripts from the IRS office here and sent them via Fed Xpress along with the I-864 that I filled out. Whatever he sends to NVC, you should have also. He can use Fex Express, DHL, etc...

The only difference is that I went through K-1 process, I believe, the OP is going through CR-1 process, but I think I know the answer :)
