I'm stressing a bit much over this, we sent the packet to the Dallas Lockbox on the 29th of December so it's been 13 days and still no NoA1....is it supposed to take this long just for NoA1??

I saw most people got NoA1 4-10 days after they sent =(

Not really 13 business days, and don't forget they were closed for the holidays. Have they cashed your cheque yet?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Please provide more information.

How did you send your packet?

Do you have confirmation that it was delivered?

Did you sign up for email notification (Form G-1125)?

Any other pertinent information may be useful in answering your question.

@ cdeneh : No they haven't cashed the cheque yet

@A&B : I'm deployed right now and my sister sent the packet for me via USPS snail mail. So no confirmation numbers (i'm trying to maintain my composure with her about how incredibly upset I am with her about that). I did sign up for the e-notifications but haven't received anything yet.

Is your sister in the lower 48? I am just trying to figure out how long it would take to get to them. If she sent it ordinary mail, that alone might have taken a bit of time.

Okay, well that combined with the closures to the post office and USCIS for weekends, and of course the New Year, I would say you are still within time. The USPS website says from where your sister is, in Alaska, to Dallas is 3 days, but not that they guarantee that. Sometimes there are people who just end up waiting for quite a long time, like happened to bigdog.

Keep an eye on your bank account to see when the cheque cashes. I know it's hard to be patient, that's something we all have to learn to cope with here along the way.

Welcome to Visa Journey as well.

Edited to add, I just checked way back on my timeline..we were 28 days waiting as well.

Wow, it seems that you have had a rocky start on your visa journey. Welcome to the forum. The government loves money, other posters comments make sense, follow the money.

Hopefully you will get your NOA1 soon.

Good luck.

We sent the package to Dallas lockbox on the 29th December too (from CA)

The package was received on the 31st December. Got NOA1 in E-mail on the 6th January. Still haven't got the hard copy paper by mail yet.

If you didn't do delivery confirmation, maybe you should call them just to make sure they got it.

Hope it helps.

I'm usually pretty patient, calm and level headed, even under pressure. Thank you all for the replies and assistance in this.

Would I just call the national service center number?
