Can any one please let me know if they have experience of traveling to Canada on a green card? I am a full 10 years Green Card holder and wanted to visit some friend over the weekend (Just for 2 days) I was wondering if I have to go through all these visa process or its possible to use my California ID? Please let me know.

Thanks.

No, visa is not needed for GC holder. I have 2 Yrs GC and visited Canada last Aug'2011. If you entered in US with valid visa then no need to worry. Just keep passport, GC and valid US photo ID( like Driving lic., or state ID) when you travel to canada.

Hope this will help. Enjoy your trip.
