Here's why you didn't see anything on the CFO website about those requirements:

The following is from the CFO website:

Requirements for Attendance to Guidance and Counseling Program

Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;

Duly completed guidance and counseling form;

If married, certified true copy and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad)

The following forms may come in handy:

Sworn statement that advice of parents or guardian has been asked. (for those who are 21-24 years old)

Consent to marriage of a person under age. (for those who are 18-20 years old)

Marriage applicants who are age 18 to 21 must have parental consent in writing, those age 21 to 25 must have written parental advice (a written indication that the parents are aware of the couple's intent to marry). The revised Family Code of the Philippines, which took effect on August 4, 1988, prohibits marriage for individuals below the age of 18.

U.S. Department of State link.

The quote above is from the section where they are talking about getting married in the Philippines. However, the CFO has been known to require parental advice or parental consent from K-1ers.

It's all on the Consular's discretion whether they require consent from a parent or guardian.

Thank you so much wally:) about the interview? what are the questions? i was very nervous with my medical,and thank god i passed,and now the interview...

Same thing for the interview. Be calm and confident. Make sure you have all documents all forms completed. The question my wife got were simple. I don't remember them but each Consulate only asked 4 or 5 questions. It depends on the consulate and each persons petition. They can ask 4 questions or 15 questions each. It all depends.

What my wife did to prepare for the interview. She questioned me on everything about me and my life and family. LOL!!! That caused a few arguments. Due to some of the questions my wife was asking me. i.e. What was my first grade elementary school teachers names??? :blink: LOL!! When we went to the interview together. The consulates asked 4 or 5 basic questions only. LOL!! I just look at my wife and laughed!! :lol: :lol: She laughed too!!

Hi Wally and wifey:) i laughed when i read your wife's question that caused a few arguments? well,like me,she was also nervous during her interview,i would ask my fiance the same question.in fact i was thinking of asking him tonight.hahahaha..thanks for the tips and advices:) i will read everything to have an idea.

Yea at first it was annoying because she had 200 questions. :D:blink: After I understood she was nervous and wanted to be prepared for the interview. I would tell my wife. That from all the VJ'ers reviews good and bad the consulates only ask 4 - 5 questions that are basic. Then I remember how i operate " better safe then sorry ". LOL!! Yes read all questions just in case as the consulates do not stick to a specific questioning. They may ask you anything!! So go over those questions with your hubby.. :reading::pop:

my only worry is i hope they wont ask me alot of questions about my annulment cases,and i hope i be calm and confident.i read all the sample questions and theres so many lol.

Yes pray for a sooth interview. Triple check everything but prepare yourself for your interview. It will show that you are serious and confident. If they ask about the annulment. Try to stay calm. Answer the questions straight and try not to get emotional. I know its hard but it's the past in your life. Your hubby now is your present and future. Remember 9 yrs :wow: God is good!!

i always pray to god for his guidance and help for me to grant my visa. my daughter is included in the petition as k2 same case number,any requirements? or questions for her?...do i need to fill out forms for her? i dont remember i mentioned my daughter to you because i was focusing on my annulment evaluation,she's done with her medical already since jan9.this is really hard for me right now.im thankful to god for passing the medical exam

Yes pray to our father (God) and ask for guidance in your life, this process, pray for your future and for all that is going on in your life. Thank him of what he has blessed you will all in your life. God sees and knows all. He knows you are a good person. He knows your husband is a good person.

Oh... no you did not mention you were filing for your daughter before. That's ok too..

Documents needed for K-2 visa:

Valid passport (not needed if child is under 16);

Nonimmigrant Visa Application (Form DS-156), in duplicate with two recent color photographs;

Official birth certificate;

Permission to travel from other parent; (Your daughters father)

Complete medical examination report.

Not to make you nervous. The one part that concerns me is the Permission to travel from other parent. Is the father around? Is the father ok with you leaving with your daughter? You will need to get that letter of permission sign and date from him.

but here i am again,geting more nervous and worried about my interview.you maybe annoyed at me now..LOL but pls.be patient with me:) thank you so much for providing everything i need(guide) on my interview.are they gonna ask each documents from me or i just give my folder with labeled??

No we are not annoyed. We understand how this can be a emotional roller coaster.. Some need no help and a lot of people need more support, help and encouragement to get through this process. Again with prayer, guidance and knowledge all will come to be and you will be here with your husband..

They will not reveal to you if you pass your medical. The answer is yes because it was forward to USEM. That means you passed. My wife asked the same question when she finished her medical and she is here in usa right next me :thumbs::)

I don't know to much on K-2 visa but I have seen some post and read a couple of blogs stating that they need parental consent from the other parent. I believe that if you have sole custody of your child and the father is not in your child's life then you may not need that letter of consent.

What you can do is start another post about parent consent for K-2 visa. Explain in detail so any other VJ'er with full knowledge on K-2 and parent consent can answer intelligently.

It will be fine.. My feeling is being that the father is not active in her life you don't need the letter. Again start a new post asap.

Yes you must submit an NBI clearance on any name you have used. This includes previous married names.

NBI clearance on her previous married name.

NBI clearance for in your maiden name.

Alternative method

Also you can apply for new NBI clearance. Put your maiden name and make sure you indicate your other name under "also known as" or "alias".

Either on will work.

You will apply for a new NBI and if they ask why. Tell them it is need for USEM Interview and requires that you have your current name and "also known as" or "alias" last married name on the NBI clearance. If they give you any issue request to speak with a supervisor. I think they will issue a new NBI Clearance with the "also known as" or "alias". No they will not investigate you. No they will not ask why you have two annulled marriages. You just need for your last married name to be on the NBI Clearance in the "also known as" or "alias" field.

Everyday you learn more and more... :reading::idea:
