This last 2 months has been taking about 30 days to get a case number assigned.

I have seen 66 days since July.

Before that it only took days to get a case number for a spouse. And we cannot pay for the fees or send the documents until we get a case number and invoice number and give our emails to nvc

Fiance usually get a case number quicker.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

At lease be thankful that your i-130 was approved in 23 days!

There are many people who have been waiting for over 4-6 months and still no NOA2.

It has now been 138 days for me and still no NOA2!

I'm almost reaching 5 months now.

VisaJourney,

I'm overjoyed that my I-130 was approved in 23 days. I understand there are many people who have been waiting 4-6 months, I'm sorry to them people. I'm due to deploy (military) in May, even if my loved one is able to make it to the US prior to May I will still be living without my loved one until November (I hope that is all).

With a delay of over one month from approval to NVC it looks like my wait will be WELL over 15 months total..

Thank you for your replies so far they are helpful.

Longsack,

thank you for serving our country. I appreciate you very much.

Did you expedite at USCIS?

Call NVC everyday till you get a case number and the moment you do get a case number expedite again due to deployment and then it will be forwarded to the embassy quickly

then you pay fees and tuen in the 864 and ds 230 at the embassy instead of nvc

Good Luck

She will be here before MAY!!!
