We completed our I485 AOS interview this morning in Phoenix, Arizona, got their early and were first in. The IO was very professional, courteous, polite and patient. She reviewed the I485 application and our identification throughly. She questioned how we met, spent time in China, visited family and got engaged. A specific question as to how my wifes parents felt about her coming to USA and if I had met her son and family. She took minimal evidence to support our living together i.e. medical card, AAA, Costco, W4 and my employer information and some photos. She double checked our marriage date with me and stated we were approved and ordered the production of the card immediately. She VOIDED her I-94 Visa in the passport. Due to an upcoming cruise in less than two weeks she had her passport stamped with the I551 and a seal. IO stated her Green Card card should arrive in 2-4 weeks. Lots of stress done for now. Lets hope everyone else's files progress as smoothly.

04/29/2009 - Interviewed. I- 130 approved, I-485 pending IO's review
05/05/2009 - Received NOA2. Welcome letter for Permanent Residency. I-130 and I-485 approved 04/30/2009
05/08/2009 - Touched. I-485 approval letter sent
05/11/2009 - GC received in the mail. Expires 2019
05/11/2009 - Applied to remove restrictions on my SS Card
05/18/2009 - Received unrestricted SS card
10/13/2009 - My darling husband of 2 yrs 5 months 3 weeks 3 days passed away :(

Congratulations bigdog! I have just read what you went through to get to this point, I'm sure it makes the approval that much sweeter. No doubt your love for each other was your strength.

Naturalization Journey (Based on 5 years as a PR):

November 21st 2016 - Sent N-400 to Dallas Lockbox.

November 30th - Check Cashed.

December 1st - Email/Text Notifications.

December 8th - Hardcopy of NOA received (Priority Date 11/25).

December 9th - Biometrics Appointment Letter received.

December 19th - Biometrics Appointment.

January 4th 2017 - "In Line" for Interview.

June 9th - Online status changed to "Interview was Scheduled".

June 12th - Interview Letter received.

July 19th - Interview (NYC). Requested a "delayed Oath" for after September 4th 2017.

September 11th - Oath Letter received. Honored my request for a delayed Oath Ceremony. 

September 14th - Oath Ceremony.
