Well, my gf flew on Christmas eve.. took her to Estância Churrascaria, brazilan steakhouse.. she gave me a fancy watch and gave her the RING!! so its OFFICIAL!! we are engaged! :):D

she wanted to be here with me to put the packet together..

but we seem to being have some "confusion" on how to put the packet together..

saw some videos of k1 people that have folders with sheet protectors and tabs and 3 rings...

but i was reading here that those black acco(sp?) clips was all that was really needed..

should i punch two holes at top of the page?!

there are binders that the doctors and lawyers use that the brackets (two hole/ringer/binder) at top of the folder.. and have a table of contents with each section have a color divider and each section clipped.. with tabs at bottom tabbing the sections?

would this work?

We did not use any folders or did not staple or punch holes through the paper, we stacked everything in order of the Cover Letter and put it in a envelope.

We put the Cover Letter on the outside of the envelope and we put this package in the USPS envelope to send to the Lockbox.

Good Luck with your Journey

You ask a very interesting question. One that you will likely get a myriad of answers.

I used the 2-hole top of the page with prong fasteners method on my petition. I put around 6 tabs at the bottom, corresponding to the order stated in my cover letter. That method worked for me, have to assume USCIS was okay with it.

Good luck.

YMMV,

Used paper clips and binder clips, cover letter on top. The IO will tear it apart any way.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

B.. i think that way would please her.. and make her more comfortable..

USCIS will rearrange your packet, no matter what you do. Simply using paperclips or binder clips is good enough.

thats what i figure..

its probably more important to have good content of information.. then the prettiness of the binder/folder :)

thats also the plan.. we will send original signatures on the G325/I129 and then make copies of travel receipts and boarding passes from the 3 flights we have together..

she will be leaving with the exact set that was mailed in.. i would rather her physically leave with a set then trusting the mail in Venezuela with such important information..

Congrats on your engagement!!!!

I used different color folders (3 to be exact) 1 for forms, 1 for proof that we had met, and 1 for proof of on going relationship.

I think I did it this way more for my sanity and making sure I didn't miss anything than anything else!!

that is a great idea to hgave her leave with the copy of the package.. I wouldn't trust the mail in Venezuela either.. I am planning on taking our copy with me when we meet in a few months :) its safer that way

anyways!!! Felicitaciones y espero que todo nos salga mas rapido de lo que esperamos!! :)

I put everything in plastic sleeves and also put color tabs on them at bottom. I had plenty of spare time and did extra job as each plastic sleeve contain package of papers corresponding to cover sheet.

I printed photos and printed labels with our names, place and date. Stick them on back of each photo and put back into package (The one originally come with photos) and put that in a plastic bag (Similar way as you do with your "passport" photos)

Congrats on engagement.

I glued them to a blank sheet, added names under every person in the photos i.e "Jon doe petitioner" and added a small caption with the date it was taken, where, and why we were there or what we were doing then put them in plastic sheet protectors :)

goodness.. i won't lie.. this K1 packet is STRESSFUL! me and my better half have had a few blow ups on how we each think the packet should look like..

but i hope it will be ok..

part of the problem we had.. was question 12(?) is your fiance currently in USA.. what is I-94 number/arrival date question..

i told her we should leave it blank.. and change dates to after she left, to avoid issues.. BUT she did not want to "lie".. incase she was asked about it during interview.. so finally i said ok.. when she busted out stamp from her passport.. I-94.. but the numbers are not XXX-XXXXXXXX they were XXXXXXXXX-XXX

so i made copy and attached it to back of I-129F.. if causes a problem.. she will get a big "I TOLD YOU SO!"

i stole labels from office to write date, names, location to stick on back of pics.. and then have larger ziploc baggie.. to put pics in with the envelope from walgreens photolab..

now i just want this to get over and submitted but we will look at it again.. for MORE errors or make things more consistent with dates and names.
