Me too, I got approved on May 29th! Seems like a lot of petitions were approved on the 29th!! I'm a feb filer btw.

they must of just got back from vacation.

at the VSC they are still on vacation I believe because they used to average 3 months for the NAO2.

now it's like 6 months? we don't know because it looks like most of the staf at the VSC is very slow with new approvals.

Have any of you gone past your five months since the NOA1 date?

My NOA1 date is January 30, should I call my Congressman prior to that date, or on the day of(June, 30)?

It's one thing to see people get approved quicker than me, but it is completely unreasonable for USCIS to approve people who had a later NOA1 date than me. I am in no way attacking those people for those approvals, congrats to you all, but I am just highlighting the unfairness and inconsistency of USCIS approvals.

I wouldn't call them until you reach that date, I would even wait another day or two. I believe xxJaym did something like that, contacted them a few days before reaching 5 months and she got a response saying to contact them after 3 weeks or something like that...hopefully your approval will come soon, mine came 7 days before the 5 month mark, and I was a little worried that I might have to contact my local representative..good luck

Makes no difference.

5 months on 3 June 2012. Called CSC and no information except "we are still processing petitions from 16 December, call again after 25 June".

Contacted congressman on 4 June. Congressional inquiry sent, reply received on 6 June as follows "the petition is currently under review and you should receive a notice of action within 30-45 days".

Called CSC on 11 June. Tier 2 officer refused to input service request as they are still doing 16 December (wow from 4 June till 11 June they have not moved a single day).

Wrote to CSC follow up, received same generic reply "your petition is currently being adjudicated, you should receive a notice of action within 45 days".

What did you learn? Nothing and nobody can help except God. You contact your representative now or later does not matter. If you are lucky you will get it without any external help and if you are not so lucky like myself then you will just have to wait and wait no matter who you contact.

I thought someone posted a link earlier about a person who used to work at USCIS. S/he said that once the 5 months are up, that's it. If they get a congressional inquiry, that application is immediately pulled up and processed as soon as possible. They also try to avoid congressional inquiries because that shows that they are failing, so they try to avoid those like the plague.

That person either lied or is not up to date. I am past 5 months, have sent congressional inquiry and still got nothing more than a "generic reply". So if that person was right, I should have received a notice of action by now as that person also stated it does not take long once they actually look into your petition.

I am starting to get suspicious, could there be a conspiracy against certain applicants? Could they be reading these forums, and punishing the most vocal ones?
