Applying for mother who is currently in US as a visitor

Hi,

I know that I need to file i-130. I want to know if I should also file the form i-485. Her visa type/class is R B1/B2.

Is there any other form I need to submit? I am US Citizen. My mother is currently in the US.

Also, I forgot to mention that on form i-485, it has option H (other). Can I put in "I am filing form i-485"?

If this is not the right time to fill form i-485, when would I file this form?

Yes, you'll need the I-864 to show you can support your mother and your household and she'll need to have a medical exam, I-693. Also the I-765 and I-131 if she wants to work or leave the country while her application is being processed, respectively. Familiarize yourself with the process here:

Since your mother is in the U.S. currently, you need to follow a similar, but not identical, process to those spouses adjusting status. I recommend you do your research; there are many resources here on VJ that can point you in the right direction.

no, the A, you are filing the i485 concurrently with an i130, so there is an immediate visa available.
