Can someone give me the lowdown? I am a 25 year old male, fit an healthy what sort of cost am I looking at?

My fiance is coverd by her parents insurance as she is a student. Once married she will not have health insurance either.

Unfortunately costs vary based on provider and location as well as if two people are sharing the same policy (e.g. husband is covering wife or wife is covering husband). To give you a ball park figure expect to pay about $100 or more a month.

Then you are likely to have a large deductible before the insurance company pays anything. Then there is your co-pay when you visit the doctor. Usually around $20 and $150 if you visit the emergency room. On my wife's work plan we had to pay the first $3000. We never used that much so we paid the policy and all the costs and never got anything. I'm now on my employers plan and they pay all policy costs and the deductible. It's almost like being back on the NHS!
