Hi, I have a question. My wife got interview on November 16, 2011. She got the blue slip stated the case required additional processing. 2 days later, she received the letter asking her to come to HCM consulate to pick up the visa approval. We were at the consulate at Saigon to receive the pink slip and paid for the EMS for visa issuance courier. After waiting for 3 weeks without the visa. I e-mail and fax to the consulate in Saigon about her visa issuance. My wife received the denied letter stated that she need to provide her previous visa immigrant petitions on her behalf to the United States. We were at the consulate at Saigon on December 27, 2011 to submit the corresponding requirement document. I was shocked when the consular officer told me that she did not need the evidence of my petition, she asked my wife about the petition of her behalf in 1995. She was only 10 years old at that year. She told the consular officer that she neither asked nor knew anyone who filed the petition for her to USA in 1995. She was asked to make the sworn statement in front of the consular officer about her petition in 1995. After waiting for 2 hours, she received another blue slip in which her case is required additional processing. I was so frustrated and upset. the sad thing that they did not provide us the information about her petition in 1995. I was at the consulate in Saigon on the following day to submit the affidavit support for her petition in 1995 from her father. Her father also neither asked nor knew anyone who filed for her petition in 1995. Now, I don't know what to do. I don't know how long we have to wait for the answer because I saw there were many cases in AP that were taken at least 6 months to more than a year to get the result.

Appartently they have a HIT in their databases that make them think a petition was filed for her before. They will now look harder into that. She has sworn that it never happened. If they find from whatever the original case is that she knowingly lied to them it is a lifetime ban, Hopefully it is just a confision of names.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I just received the call from my wife at midnight yesterday January 9, 2012. She has received the letter to inform her to be at the American consulate in HCM to receive the visa approval notice. I am very happy now. Hopefully, she will has the visa by next week.
