Hi Everyone,

I tried calling the USCIS hotline yesterday to try to put a service request in on my I-129F application. I was able to speak to an agent and they said my application was outside of normal processing time and I should have received NOA2. The agent was ready to put in a service request for me however it was rejected by system. He said that the CSC is backlogged and only processing application from June 16th and I should call back in 47 days.

I know it is a long shot, but I met a congressmen over the summer when he came to my place of employment. One of his field representatives gave the group of us that took him around business cards and told us to call him up if we need anything. Anyone think it might be a good idea to give this guys a call? I figured there is no harm in trying... I just don't want to sit around and do nothing.

Met in Feb 2009 while I was working overseas.

Started dating almost 1 year to the date that we met in Feb of 2010.

Returned to the US in Sep 2010 :(

Hi, you should definitely call your congressperson. Regardless if you've met him or not, a lot of senators and U.S. representatives have webpages with specific forms for service requests, etc. when you need a legislator's intervention. It's part of their job and what they were elected to do - he/she is a representative of your district and you have nothing to lose :)

I was told the same thing yesterday. This was also the sane date they were working on in Nov. Having read several post from people whose petitions are at CSC and they contacted a congress person, they've been told to give it upwards of 6-7 months. I even asked if the petition could be transferred to another facility and was told that doesn't happen.

Thanks for the support. I will do it on Monday!

Won't help as they will tell the congressman the same thing - working on Jun 16th. Call anyway, no harm, but that is what you will hear back from the congressman also.... sucks.

I called on Thursday and they told me the same thing...still processing June 16th. Then I asked the lady why? Because they have been processing that date since before Christmas and that's crazy to me, processing one day for 3weeks?! What are they doing over there?!!! :'( Anyway my 5 months is marked and I do plan to call them (my congress) as well, maybe sometime this week. I've heard it works and it doesn't work, I guess I will do it either way, I'll never know if I don't try. But I think you should too. I know VJ doesn't account for EVERYONE applying for a visa, maybe not even half of everyone but a good portion of them and they have on Igors list pretty much all but 23 approved from July, like I said I know it's not everyone but its still so frustrating to see and to hear the lady say June 16th. My advice would to be to call and if again at 6 months and still nothing I would call congress again.

I gave the congressmen a call today. Unfortunately they cannot do anything for me until I hit at least 6 months. So I will wait and give them a call back in a few weeks.

I've got the exact same sent and NOA1 dates as you, so I've always seen your timeline right there with mine as we progressed up the list. The June 16th date is ridiculous as they have done most of the July applications already, and even one August on Jan 4th:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=111463

I'm really hoping they get to ours before 6 months is up, it feels like we are so close, but who knows - seems like they have slowed down again this week, though that could just be a factor of Igor's not representing everyone who has filed equally.

CSC is using "16 June" as their catch 22, as long as they are not projecting 5 months for completing applications they can stonewall anyone who calls (including Congressmen) by simply telling them to call back in a month, don't even get to start an inquiry.

VSC is turning them out like crazy....

Me too… I wonder what's happening at CSC. Are they putting I-129F on hold? Is there a protest?? No approval yesterday, all the NOA2 approvals on VJ are from Vermont.

Seriously CSC, there's many couples waiting to be together. :(

I had a lovely dream last night. We got our NOA2 and I was so happy, I was crying in my sleep. Woke up to the reality of NO new approvals out of CSC. Seriously, what is going on?!?!?!? I know I haven't been waiting half as long as some poor people, but still, this is becoming some sort of sick joke at this point.

I am sooo looking forward to putting all of this behind us and moving on with our lives together. IN PERSON, EVERY DAY!!!! It's no fun having your life on hold and sitting in limbo for an indefinite period of time.

I have more respect than I can ever say for the poor people who have to wait through all of this and who face problems with their cases. Good luck to everyone!! Come on CSC!!!

"Having your life on hold"… that's exactly how I feel too, mmlz.

First thing I do when I wake up: looking if there is some NOA2 at CSC from the day before. This morning was not fun! Let's say it's because it's Monday, they were not fully awake, all that…
