Hi,

Is a notarized copy of my Birth certificate considered a certified copy or not. I have and Iranian Birth certificate in Farsi language.

No. A certified copy is one that is issued by the agency that maintains vital records where your birth certificate was registered.

It generally has some sort of seal or stamp that identifies it as a certified true copy of the original.

My country IRAN just issues an original one.

If the original is not in your possession they will look for the Identity certificate (Shenasnameh) showing the date and place of birth, parents' names, place of residence, and marital history where appropriate, are issued to Iranian nationals in urban centers by the Department of National Registration and Statistics (Edareh Sabt Ahval va Omar).
