My brother has a priority date of December 30, 2010.

They asked for the COA in November 2011. The first step was approved back in May 2011.

Correct - The NVC TRIES to request information approx. 1 year before it is expected to become current when it comes to preference categories.

** My Mom had a case that is still pending and the case is still about 2 years from completion in the F3 Category. The case got to the NVC 1 year and 8 months ago which was about 2 months after the current F2A case we are working on and they have not requested anything.. COA etc. **

That is correct RICARDO... Our PD is November 03, 2010. We were asked to make our final payment (the $404..) around May-2011. Our case is complete since July-11. When I spoke to our lawyer he mentioned the wait time is around 9 months after one receives the request of fees... But i think the next VB will move around 1.5 months and something will give around summer!

My gut feeling says that there should be a good bit of movement around June (summer). The PD's should be close to Aug-10 or so... keeping my fingers crosses!

Woww that would be gr8!! but how can you assume in summer it will move so fast... looking at the current speed its moving either a month or two?

but if that happens i will be the most happiest person in this world :0)

as long as you've comply and submitted everything and pay the AOS,present all documents needed to be document complete , or already paid for visa fees you just need to wait before case becomes current (PD) . Since your priority date is Oct 2010 just need to patient and keep updated with the visa bulletin. hope it helps

To be on the list of documentarily qualified applicants, after fiing the I-130 and receiving your PD, you will need to have been advised by NVC to submit the following:

1. Submission of ALL required documentations (birth certificates, marriage certificates, police records, etc.)

2. Choice of agent form

3. Paid Affidavit of Support fee, and submitted the completed AOS form with the required ITRs, etc...

4. Paid the Immigrant visa fee.

For many applicants, with PD before August 2010, they are already documentarily qualified as of present, because the the PDs current in the December 2010 bulletin was August 2010, and hence they have been requested to submit these to NVC. In your case I am not sure because your PD has not yet become current, while those PDs earlier than August 2010 have become current prior to the "great retrogression" of Jan 2011. Have you ever received any request from NVC either directly from mail (email) or thru your lawyer? You can try emailing NVC yourself so you may be properly advised: NVCinquiry@state.gov

PAID means they have received your payment and now you can print the coversheet and send in your AOS and IV documents to NVC.

Citizenship next step!

I guess i already posted at previous post. There are many of us here has same issue. My case was completed at December, 2010. But I can still sign into NVC payment portal and can see all the payments that i made in 2010. Now there will be another SIGN IN FAIL once NVC schedule interview. I believe that it will be final SIGN IN FAIL. I hope you understand it .

So keep sign into NVC payment portal, once you unable to sign into NVC payment portal, that means you shortly receive interview date.....:star:
