Hi.is there Anyone here from the philippines that can help me explain what to expect during medical examinations?

Be there before 6 am , just follow procedures and should be done before noon, yung result I got it same day . That's the advantage of being there early. Be cautious with the interviewer they will ask you if you did try taking illegal drugs if you answer yes goodbye American dream , with the physical exam you have to undress urself maybe for 5 minutes they gonna conduct some physical check. No worries just relax and have fun :)

Hello Zubi,

As you know, the current cut off date for February is June 08, 2009. So people with PD prior to June 08 are getting visa. I think consulate can not issue you a visa unless your PD is current, which is July 05. Just one more month and you will be current. Just send them an email or bug them with phone calls if you don't get communication from them. March VB will for sure go beyond July 15.

GOOD LUCK

ashu

People with July PD are getting interview dates in March 2011 which shows that in March VB, PD will move to July and they will get visa in July. I thought you mentioned somewhere that you already had interview. So whenever your PD will become current (most probably in March), you will get a visa. Your PD is not current (July 5) at this point. I hope it clarifies.

Thanks. But my question is if they let you take skin test for TB before xray...

after the xray im good to go . they didn't find any problem i get the pink slip same day , they got my passport and result forwaded to US embassy for interview .Those problem usually cause delay . They wanna make sure why it came out positive, worst scenario you'll undergo medication for 3-6 months before taking another medical exam .A friend of mine daughter failed the skin test and find positive of "primary complex" she went into medication and issued a visa after 3 months i think . Then upon arrival to US they went straight to the hospital for anothr test ( upon arrival) . If you dont have any TB or whatever pulmonary problem no worries . Ok lang yan :) hope it helps stay positive it is more on like a case of a blurry xray, they ask for a retake ...

Have you undergone skin test for TB? My problem is that im always positive on that test...

How old are you sir,..?

if you are 15years and above, no TST (skin test) is required,

you'll have to be xrayed, if you are 14years old and younger,

it is a requirement to undergo that test.

My son is 14 years old, and has undergone that test last tuesday,

that is why my daughter (17) and I weren't able to get our result today,

we would be coming back to clinic on friday coz the result of the skin test

would take about 48 to 72 hours...

And it seems the skin test is positive on my son, my wife is a nurse in the US,

and has assured me that when our son was born here in the Philippines,

he was given the BCG vaccine that would give off a FALSE POSITIVE result on the skin test,

the next step according to my wife is that our son would be xrayed,

and she is pretty confident that he will pass it.

Rummaging through the forum, I came across a post a few years back, explaining it further:

"Expanded Program of Immunization (Philippines) adviced that babies have their BCG vaccine at birth or any time after birth, but not all Moms have access to health center for the free vaccines, especially if in the remote provinces. My Mom is from Cebu and she had her BCG vaccine, my sister was born in Cebu (1965) and she had her BCG vaccine and I was born in Oroquieta City but I had my vaccine. Besides, not all vaccines will have a "visible" scar, so it is still a big possibility that she had this vaccine. At her age, they will not be requiring her to have a BCG vaccine, this is no longer age-appropriate and with the possibility of exposure, they will not be giving this to her. If her CXR will have some "suspicious" findings, then they may ask her to undergo a sputum AFB test. But, for those who will be filing AOS, then Civil Surgeon may have to do a TB Skin test and if positive (which is likely because of prior exposure and the false-positivity result due to the BCG vaccine), applicant may have to reapeat her CXR or undergo further examinations. "

Let's just pray and hope for the best, it will boil down on how our body fight these illness...

Good luck sir,...

I was reading some thing about CSPA to make sure I wont be deny at the interview next week....

First, determine the child’s age at the time a visa number becomes available;

• Second, subtract from this age the number of days that the visa petition was pending; and

• Third, determine whether the beneficiary sought LPR status within one year of the visa availability date.

and got even more confuse..what exactly does it mean by the beneficiary sought LPR status within one year of the visa availability date...Any help wold be greatly appreciated... Thx again
