hey guys! i was wondering why CSC is stopped right now? I mean, i am looking everyday in the timeline on igor´s list, and just the K1 visa is being approved @ this time. The last K3 aproved was on dec 7th 2011. I have 155 days waiting since we apply for the K3 and my husband just call USCIS yesterday and they said the CSC is back up. They said it will be another 48 days on top of the five month wait that we have already endured.

Any help, or idea?

And, why the K1 visa is faster than K3?

Thank you all!

Same here, it has been 135 days for me and still no NOA2.

Also, i don't think K3 is completely dead. I think we might get moved to CR1. I should have gone with CR1 when i was suggested last year. In anycase, i think it is moving, moving at a SNAIL PACE ! :bonk::angry:

Hello,

Well, have patience, I don't know why CSC is backed up. As to your second query.....go here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare .

The K1 is faster sometimes, but K3 and IR1/CR1 visas are catching up and are way cheaper!

Buena suerte!

We filed in July 08 and were approved in February 09. It seems like CSC and VSC go in cycles. Nothing I ever did made it go faster including contacting my congressman and senator. Our whole group was approved before us.

I know waiting is miserable but I'd try to find something else to focus on together as much as possible. CSC is a waste of energy. Good luck!

NOA 2. Really?

I am new to this, so if I am in the wrong place, please do not be too harsh. I see alot of people that filed K3 are waiting and are frustrated. I just want to give some hope. I filed for K3 in October with Vermont Service Center and already have an approval. We are just waiting for the packet from the Jamaican Embassy, which seems to be lost in the mail. I requested the information be emailed a few days ago, but no reply from the Jamaican Embassy as yet. So K3 filers hang in there. If there are any Senior members, can you shed some light on what the first packet is, so I can get a jump on gathering the necessary information, I am dying for an interview date. Thanks for any help, and I hope those that are waiting receives an approval very soon.

Hi k3 filers. I also get frustrated. I am so sick of waiting for our approval. I also wonder why k1 is faster than k3. Servie Center don't consider what we feel for our husband/wife who is waiting for us to be with them. Sometimes, I wanna give up for waiting but I shouldn't have to. My husband is getting old waiting for me.

We filed the petition last June and how come July-Dec got their NOA's 2 after a couple of weeks? Oh man, looking at the timeline of others is killing me.

June 2011 - NOA1

Jan 2012 - NOA2 (approved)

Feb 2012 - NVC case #

May 2012 - DS-230

June 2012 - Case Complete

Thank you all!

there are a set # of adjudicators - they handle ALL visa types. The type of cases they work on, daily, is set by the Service Center Director or one of his flunkies. So, say yesterday 60 adjudicators were on K-1s, today they were shifted to K-3s - well, that's 60 adjudicators on K-3s today. This shifting occurs in real time, based on caseload queue size and casefile type.

Usually, you can tell WHICH casefiles are going fast by casefile type when you study the timelines here..

Usually.

A lot of this is gleaned info, what I've written above - a combo from what I've studied in the timelines and Gary and Alla's interview with a former VSC director, put here on VJ.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Whoa Nelly ! Want NVC Info? see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

Time to be aware of the facts and get the terminology correct. USCIS doesn't process visas. K3 is a visa. It's also a visa you can expect never to see. You filed an I-130 and an I-129F. Filing the I-129F caused your I-130 to be pulled out of line and put back a couple weeks to the I-129F's place in line. They'll both be approved and sent to the National Visa Center on the same day, where NVC will promptly KILL the I-129F. You will then proceed with the I-130 through to Consular processing of a CR1 or IR1 visa for your spouse. You ain't never gonna SEE any K3 visa.

Adjudicating those petitions will take as long as it takes. You filed them into a black hole, just like the rest of us did.

Bingo. Now you get it. Then post the rest of your questions in the CR1 forum.

my case is now being transferred to the nvc
