I have a question regarding one of the questions on the I-130. I'm hoping you all will be able to help. In regards to questions "Have you ever filed a petition for this or any other alien? If so, provide name, date & outcome". I did file papers for my ex-husband after we were married and he was eventually given his green card. I know that we filed the papers in around 1997 or 1998 but I don't remember the exact dates and I don't have any of the paperwork. I cannot contact him to get this information. So what should I put in this space? Thanks all for your help!

You must answer the question completely and to the best of your knowledge. Try to get more details, but you must tell this. USCIS will investigate and find out if you do not...and you'll be red flagged.

Sincerely...
