I've always thought a really neat gift (aside from something practical of course) would be to do a Boudoir portfolio. I found a really nice photographer online - wish I could remember the name  Anyway I've heard of quite a few women who have done that for their husbands or husbands-to-be.

I'm not sure if thats quite the answer you were looking for  It was probably way too much information as well, but hey....I think its a great idea!

Hey... Kassie, I'm just a contry bumpkin... so I'm not exactly sure what that means...

Yes... I know boudoir means bedroom ... but a portfolio of a bedroom? Explain that one to me please!

At the reception, I gave Lai a print of the night sky as it appeared over Hacienda Heights (where we married) before sunrise the morning of the wedding. The caption says, "Scott and Lai...Saturday, October 9 2004...from this day forward..." There is another caption under the image which details the objects that can be seeen.

I'm thinking of getting my R. a wooden Welsh Love Spoon to give to him after our wedding. It's part of his Welsh heritage, I like the meaning behind the symbols and I also thought they were neat.

Awww.....I intend to do the same....we are visiting my hometown later in the year and I am going to sneak away and pick one out while I am there.

But while we're on the subject of explaining....what exactly is the meaning behind a wooden Welsh Love Spoon?...

Giving gifts of handcrafted spoons to symbolise affection and love is a craft tradition in Wales which has it's roots in the 17th century with the oldest surviving example of a love spoon dating back to 1667. Celtic handmade love spoons were often quite plain but over the years they have become quite elaborate, decorative and intricate.

Hand carved from one piece of wood, the carver would present a love spoon to a lady to show his interest in her, quite often as a precursor to courtship or engagement. If the lady accepted the spoon then she accepted his interest.

Different symbols on the love spoons have their own meaning so you can just choose your 'message', they are becoming quite popular again I believe...

I gave my fiance a present - a two thousand dollar plane ticket for myself to get there...

Giving special gifts to each other for your wedding is a beautiful idea but it's not something that occurred to us - we hardly even had a 'wedding' in the traditional sense (but I'm not bitter... :P) We couldn't afford it and it wasn't practical.

Actually it's not quite true - John bought me a bunch of lovely roses on our way home when we went to the grocery store...

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)
