Hi guys,

For those of you who had have the interview at US embassy in Sydney or been in the building, could you please tell me what is the difference in between level 10 and level 59 in the address?

My fiance sent in the form DS 230, he printed out the instruction on the website, which had the level 10 so he sent to the address below, he sent it to

U.S. Consulate General

Attention: IV Unit-PKT 3 DOX

]Level 10, MLC Centre

19-29 Martin Place

Sydney, NSW 2000

instead of

U.S. Consulate General

Attention: IV Unit-PKT 3DOX

Level 59, MLC Centre

19-29 Martin Place

Sydney, NSW 2000.

but in the package 3 email, they ask us to send to level 59 address. I checked the status of the mail and was delivered on the December 28th, and i emailed the embassy and they told me today that they haven't received the mail yet, and the mail may being screened through their facility. I'm assumed they should get the mail by now so I'm worried. Could you guys help me with it? thanks ahead.

I wouldn't worry so much about it if it said it's been delivered, both levels belong to the US Consulate in Sydney. You'll notice when you go for your interview that first you will go to level 10 for security check before they send you up to 59 for your interview. They are also probably a bit slower at checking through mail at this time of year too as it's just been Christmas and New Year, i'm sure a lot of people have had time off.

Also, is it only the DS 230 that was sent? I sent my DS 230 ahead of my packet three and they didn't manage to match them up before my interview so i just took another copy to my interview with me, no biggie.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

Hi Travis and Meghan, thank you for the information.. and yeah, only the DS230 was sent. You are right about the holidays, i was worried because they need the DS230 to process the case, but if both levels belong to the embassy then i feel relieve now. Thanks

haha, yeah don't worry! I sent my DS 230 ahead of my packet three and when i got my packet four it said that i needed to bring it to my interview with me because they hadn't received it yet. I took another copy to my interview but by the time i had it they had already found it. If you have any other Aussie specific questions i suggest posting them int he Aussie forum, there are a lot of really helpful people there who know a lot about immigration process in Australia/for Australians :)
